sara and ian started planning their wedding over the summer. it was going to be over three days. getting family and friends together from all over new zealand and the world. a venue sorted. handmade deliciousness. gorgeous invites.
and then it just got all too much. too big. felt completely out of hand. and like it was starting to become something a little beyond who they were.
so they downsized. alot.
bought it forward by about 8 months. gave themselves about 10 days to organise it.
had only immediate family and a couple of extras.
and it was perfect.
now i love. i mean really love a big wedding.
but what i love the most is when couples honour who they are. in every sense of the word.
after the ceremony we drank champagne from paper cups under the bridge along the river. we laughed in the setting sun. and ate at a beautiful local restaurant.
and it was perfect.
