here is this tiny bit of light i have stumbled across.
last week someone asked me to define my style. in particular when it comes to my family shoots.
i honestly don’t really have a definition for it. other than to try to explain it like this.
when i head out with my family. there are always these tiny glimpses. you know the ones that you catch out of the corner of your eye.
the way the light dances on their tangled hair. the way they have curled their toes in sand. or how they wrap their tiny arms around your neck burying their face in your hair. the tiny expressions. how they people watch.
sometimes its these little things we miss. and i guess. its these tiny things that just really matter to me. so when i go out to photograph a family i am always looking for these tiny moments. i want you to have some record of them.
my style i guess then is best defined by saying i photograph how i would want my family to be photographed.
all the little inbetweens.
