Packing with little ones

Now – I don’t know about you – but packing for a long……very long road trip and a good length of time away can be challenging at the best of times. But doing it all with toddlers is even more…..well lets say……FUN!
A very dear friend called this afternoon from China – and my wee angel – seems to know when Aunty Anna calls from China – she can pretty much get away with……….anything…….so to keep her busy, I asked her to finish packing the rest of her clothes she had chosen into her suitcase. “Yip, ok Mum” was the reply. She ushered me out of the room – and about 15min later when I peeked my head around the door this is what I found……

All clothing had been taken out of the suitcase and been replaced with every soft toy. There was also a look on her face that suggested messing with this idea wasn’t going to get very far.

When she realised that there was the possibility that I could remove her “choices” she proceeded to climb in the suitcase to protect them.

Now I don’t know about you……but debating with a toddler is not my idea of fun. So I left them there, looks and all till she went to bed tonight.

I’m imagining on her opening her suitcase in Auckland – I won’t be her most favourite person. ANd will have to contend with a few more of these challenging looks above!
