i don’t know if you have ever seen the childrens dvd “rio”. its all about birds. and at the moment its taleis favourite. in it there are birds who need to be rescued. and birds that want to be found by their “owners”. its colourful. and super sweet. has great music.
this morning. very early. talei and i got up and opened our front door. and straight away in flew a fantail. close behind was our cat. no surprise there.
we locked the cat in the kitchen. and spent the next half an hour trying to convince the wee fantail to come down from circling around the ceiling. and to stop banging its wee head against the ceiling.
talei was devine. chatting constantly to it. trying to tell it is needed to go outside and go to its family.
andrew had to be called. and coaxed it into a towel. then we had a wee moment with it outside.
once the tiny heart stopped beating so fast. she flew off. then landed on our fence. and stopped. and tweeted at us. and we believe said thank you.
it was pretty magic. x
