I am extremely aware that when I am asked, by you, to photograph your family, what is most important to you in the whole world, that you choose to put an incredible amount of trust in my hands. Trust to capture what is most beautiful to you. What is most dear.
When I bring my camera. I offer my heart. It is what I love. I really do. The moments that grab me about your family – may not be staged. You may not be looking at the camera.
But when I upload my photos. That I have taken of you. I look. I search. I know what I saw in my minds eye. I know what I had thought I had seen.
And I see it. And my heart truly does skip a beat. It really does. And then it quickens. And what is perfect wont always be looking right at me. What is perfect might be feeling tired, or looking away, or the light might be making you look like something other worldy. And I cant wait to show you. What utter perfection YOU have created. That is all yours. To the moon and back.
