As a Mum, I know just how fast time with our children and loved ones disappears. There are moments when as parents, we suddenly stop and wonder where the years went and how they got so big. We marvel at how fast holidays fly by and we kick ourselves when we realise that we forgot to take out a camera at large family gatherings and special occasions. I also know that Family Photography can feel a bit overwhelming and that being in front of the camera makes all of us feel nervous at times.

My favourite style of family photography always happens at home. “This is Home” is a family experience that starts and finishes in your home. Its about capturing you all together as you go about your beautiful everyday. Its all the tiny moments that happen amongst your daily routines that are often retold and laughed about but rarely captured.

It’s the way you greet your children first thing each morning, and how, through sleepy eyes, you make their breakfast. Its about the patience you have as they choose their outfit for the day and the giggles as you tickle their bellies.

It’s about the toys you stand on and the tiny tantrums they have when you ask them to pick them up. Its about their make-believe play, tyre swings and chocolate mud pies. It’s about cuddles and hair brushing and drying dishes. It’s about eating together, laughing together and being together.

The photos from these family photography sessions will feel and look like who you are as a family. They will sit on the windowsills and walls in your home and in your family albums for you to treasure. I promise.
