Jo, Layton and Little Jenna

this morning i came to my computer to find this waiting for me. it has been written by a very special client as a letter to the editor. i had no idea she was writing it. i am overwhelmed that through choosing to follow my passion – it is touching the lives and hearts of what matters so much to me – the moments of the people i photograph. this letter. this beautiful letter. means so much to me. thank you. x

“I contacted Rachael in December 2010 when I was looking
for a photographer to get pregnancy and newborn photos for
my first child who was due the end of Feb 2011. I had seen
some of her work and loved the way she truly captured special
moments in such a natural way.
However, to the surprise of everyone, my daughter arrived on 3
January, seven and a half weeks premature weighing 3lb 15oz. I
contacted Rachael a week after she was born, letting her know
we’d have to cancel the pregnancy shoot, but that we would still
love to get some newborn photos done when Jenna came home.
Rachael was so wonderful, she emailed back offering to come and
do a free photo session while Jenna was still in hospital. It was a
wonderful offer and a lovely idea to have some professional shots
to capture her tough but amazing start to life. Rachael was fantastic
and got some amazing shots that we will always treasure, and
we look forward to being able to show them to Jenna when she is
older, so she can really see how tiny and precious she was.
Jenna was in hospital for five weeks, and the week after she
came home, Rachael visited again for our official newborn photo
shoot, again getting some amazing photos. During what was a
difficult time for all of us Rachael was so friendly, compassionate
and genuinely caring and interested about what we were going
through. I am so glad we have both sets of photos and couldn’t

imagine having had any other photographer.”

i had yet to post the full series of photos of little jenna………so now seemed like perfect timing to show you the tiny wonder that is little jenna. x
